The second of the Whittlesford ‘knock-ups’ proved to be a tougher gig than the first one. Autumn seemed to have arrived early with some nasty drizzle and a chilly northerly breeze.
Result:
1st. Brian Mizon [Peg 9] 6lb 11oz
2nd. Clive Bradford [Peg 7] 5lb 08oz
3rd. Peter Feestone [Peg 14] 5lb 02oz
4th David King [Peg 0] 4lb 11oz
The overall stamp of fish today seemed much smaller than last time, though the number caught was probably similar.
No individual pictures were taken today so as to allow the fish to remain netted for longer, prior to their brief journey to Bordeaux. Thanks once again to Brian Mizon for providing the transport.
Roughly 100lb of silvers has been added to Bordeaux as a result of these two matches, and they are already begining to appear in the nets of members fishing for them.
The next match planned for Whittlesford is a normal Club ‘Open Match’ on Sunday 21st July, so make a note in your diaries. A reminder will be posted about two weeks prior to the match.
