A reminder and a few more details for the above event.
This FREE event is open to 6 to 16 year olds and there is no need to book in advance. Participants MUST be accompanied by an adult for the duration.
After signing in, there will be a brief introduction to the day – which is in essence a two hour knock-up match for the youngsters to learn some of the basics of angling from some of our old hands, who will be on hand to assist and advise.
The necessary tackle and bait will be provided, but it may be an idea to bring your own chair / seat. The accompanying adult might appreciate one as well!
The day is primarily meant to be a fun introduction to hopefully whet the appetite for more.
Please note that we do not have the on-site facilities to provide refreshments so you may like to bring your own drink and snacks.
The banks can be a little muddy so sensible clothing and footwear are recommended. It is also wise to be prepared for less than perfect weather.
Please note also that there are no toilet facilites at the lake.
