A ‘full house’ of sixteen anglers enjoyed some near perfect weather conditions for our Club Match at Rockell’s Farm today . Everyone caught, though some chose not to weigh in….which may have cost someone, who shall remain nameless, a place in the frame.
Mark Roscoe fished to his usual high standard to be top rod with 110lb 09oz from peg 25. Mark Evans was not that far behind in the next-door peg, with 99lb 15oz. Good to see them taking a break from the Ouse Summer League and that their still-water skills have not been blunted by fishing on the river.
Craig Henderson kept up his recent good form for third with 72lb 15oz, giving him a ‘happy birthday’ result. Dennis Gowlett with 48lb 11oz and Graham Carter with 45lb 10oz completed the frame from pegs 19 and 16 respectively.

A special mention should go to Match Secretary Fred Hunt, who, with the help of Craig Henderson, worked hard in advance of the match to make several of the pegs properly fishable and safe to use.
