Graham Carter Claims Victory with 58lb 14oz

A fairly autumnal day saw our intrepid band of match fishers in action on the small lake at Home Farm, Little Walden. Following the previous day of persistent rain, the lake was generally slow to switch on for most of the anglers.
Graham Carter again fished well and with a late burst of four carp in the last half hour or so weighed in an impressive 58lb 14oz to take the win from peg 5, possibly with his last fish. He just pipped Adam Salter into second place on 53lb 11oz; Adam had caught steadily thoughout the match in peg1.
Mark Evans also had a late flurry of carp in the extra half hour in peg 3 to finish 3rd with 48lb 11oz. Fred Hunt completed the pay frame with 27lb 13oz from peg 10.

There is a ‘knock-up’ match arranged for Bordeaux this coming Tuesday.
The next Club match is sheduled for 1st September 2024 at Goldstone’s Lakes – Ashdon. This is looking under-subscribed at the moment, so please book in as soon as possible if you are looking to fish this match.
