Apologies for the late publication of these results. Sadly, the numbers were not improved by being kept in a darkened room for a day…..
1st. Brian Newman [Peg 18] 14lb 08oz
2nd. Craig Henderson [Peg 21] 11lb 03oz
3rd. Clive Marriott [Peg 20] 8lb 09oz
4th Dick Souter [Peg 14] 6lb05oz
The match was fished on the Island Lake, where the water was pretty low and it was a hot day. For whatever reason, the carp failed to show in any numbers for anyone and were conspicuous by their absence on the surface throughout the day. There had been rumours that the venue had been suffering recently and this match seems to underline that.
Brian Newman managed to find three carp to boost his net to 14lb 08oz on peg 18 to take the win. Craig Henderson also managed three of the illusive carp in his 11lb 03oz on peg 21 to finish second.
Clive Marriott had a couple of small carp included in his 8lb 09oz from peg 20 to land him third place. Dick Souter completed the frame in fourth with 6lb 05oz from peg 14.
