Bordeaux – Main LakeTuesday 3rd September.
1st. Brian Mizon [Peg 6] 18lb 07oz
2nd. Peter Mottram [Peg 26] 9lb 14oz
3rd. Dave King [Peg 33] 9lb 01oz
Seven hardy souls brave what turned out to be a very autumnal day, complete with some heavy showers for the latest Bordeaux ‘Knock-up’. As there were no casual anglers about at the time of the draw, each angler was allowed to nominate their preferred peg, which then went into the draw as usual. In the event, only Craig Henderson ended up with his choice of peg 10 to fish in the match.
Brian Mizon, having nominated peg 26 ended up fishing peg 6, where he found one of the very elusive larger Bream, as well as a decent sized Ide and a number of Crucians to run out as the winner with a good weight of 18lb 07oz..
Peter Mottram nominated peg 39, presumably in an attempt to save himself a walk, but ended up having the longest journey, to peg 26, where he too found a few of the Crucians as well as a good net of Roach, to finish second with 9lb 14oz.
Dave King had hoped for peg 2, but ended up on the opposite side in peg 33, finishing with a good net of Roach for 9lb 01 oz for third place.
Only a few of the ubiquitous Carp put in an appearance today, with none of them actually making it to the bank. The full results sheet is shown below as usual.
A reminder, that the next Club Match at Bordeaux is on Sunday 15th September. It is pleasing to see that we already hav ten signed up for that event. Add your name to the original Facebook post if you want to fish and have not already done so.
