A bright but fresh autumn day saw a Baker’s Dozen of thirteen anglers pit their wits against each other and the fish of Home Farm’s big lake. Seemingly a hard day in the conditions with decent nets mainly achieved from the ends of the lake. Apparently the match on the small lake produced better weights.
Top Dog on the day was Pip Kerry with 46lb 07oz from peg 16, just pipping [see what I did there?] Ashley Kinsey [45lb 13oz – peg 7] by 10 ounces in a real nail-biter. Pip and Ashley both only signed up on the day before – to achieve the angling equivalent of a mugging 
Graham Carter was third with 42lb 06 oz from peg 17 mainly fishing the method about 2/3 towards the island.
James Fuller completed the frame in fourth with 40lb 11oz from peg 9.
The full results are in the gallery below, along with pictures of the framers, apart from Pip, who seemingly had ticked the ‘No Publicity’ box. [Actually – he took the pictures – after getting his car started – thanks Pip!] Fred has been included to make up the numbers as a consolation for losing seven decent fish!
There is a ‘knock-up’ match scheduled for Tuesday 15th October at Bordeaux.
The next scheduled Club Match is at Rockells’ Farm on Sunday 3rd November. Details and the participation list will be published on the Facebook page two weeks before the match.
