A nearly full house of nineteen made the annual SWAC trip to Lawn Farm [Willow Lake] for the usual Silvers Only match. They were greeted by what has become the normal grey overcast conditions, with part of the lake picking up a chilly breeze later on.

Eliot Stephens continued his good form, running out a clear winner yet again with 15lb 06oz from peg 26, rotating between three areas for a mixed bag of Roach, Ide and a few skimmers.

Ashley Kinsey in peg 15, and Andy Macarthy in peg 36 traded blows in a tight tussle for second place, with Ashley winning out by just four ounces, with 11lb 07oz to Andy’s 11lb 04oz.

Sandy Dickson would have been fourth overall with his 10lb 00oz in peg34, but ended up the clear winner in his section. Other section winners were Pip Kerry, Doug Richmond and Kevin Watkins.

Fred Hunt did hold the lead briefly, by virtue of weighing in first, but, sadly, that did not last and he ended up supporting the rest in, erm, last place.
