After what seems like ages in the doldrums [seemingly like everywhere else after that long dull / still spell in late November], your ‘Roving Reporter’ can reveal that it may be that Bordeaux Pit is switching back on.
My first Carp in over a month, followed in quick sucession late in the day by three decent F1’s – a good return for any December day really.
In particular, I was chuffed with the Carp [a Common of about 11lb]; it was one of the newer strain, moved on from the Small Lake in the last year or so. It was in pristine condition and put up a spirited fight.
Hopefully signs that the lake has recovered now that the dissolved oxygen levels have picked up again.
