THE JAMMED LOCK AT WHITTLESFORD HAS BEEN REPLACED

Please be aware that the padlock on the gate at Whittlesford is now a different type, as shown in the pictures.
To open, line the code up along the white line, as shown. [That is NOT the current code.]
Once the numbers are aligned, PULL the lug as indicated to release the hasp / shackle.
So as not to strain the lock, when closing the gate, it is best to wrap the chain once around the gate – the chain is longer now – and then position the lock so that the weight of the gate does not pull directly on the hasp.
