SOME EXCITING NEWS!!
After listening to the views of members regarding the fish in Bordeaux Pit, the Committee has decided to add a couple of ‘Target Fish’ to the stock, to give the carp guys amongst you something to really go after.
The removal of some of the damaged / excess carp over the last two winters triggered an expected emotional response from some. Whilst this was done for all the right reasons, we have listened to the criticism and decided to respond positively. Hopefully the presence of the new fish will boost interest in the lake and the level of feed going into the water will increase, to the benefit of ALL the resident species.
The new fish are coming from VS Fisheries; one of the leading breeders of top quality Carp. They will be C6 fish of approx 22 -24lb each, and will be delivered sometime in the next few weeks. We’ll let you know when they arrive…..
We are also hoping to receive the balance of the delivery from Mainstream in the next few weeks. [120 Chub and 100 Barbel]
