Having shared a few of the recent carp captures at Bordeaux, it is time to give you all an update on some stocking activity which has taken place over the last couple of weeks.
Two weeks ago we stocked approximately 6000 6″ plus roach, totalling 705 lb, into the Main Pit, with a few also added to the Small Lake. ![]()

These were top quality fish supplied by Hubble Aquacare in Kent and collected in our own transportation tanks. In an excellent result, we only lost about 30 fish in transit.
We were a bit pushed for time [and there were only two of us] so, sadly we did not get any pictures. These fish have been showing well for the few anglers braving the conditions. ![]()
Today we added 154 top quality bream, averaging 3.6 lb [550 lb in total]. These were supplied by Park Lake Fisheries [Basildon], and once again collected in our own transportation tanks. This time we did not lose a single fish in transit – so we must have done it right.
Below are some photos of the fish being manually added to the lake to give you an idea of the size and quality of them. ![]()
Dennis Gowlett and Trevor Kappes handled both collections and deliveries, getting soaking wet on both occasions.
We are hopeful of at least one further stocking in the next few weeks – so keep your eyes peeled for further updates. ![]()
