Venue: Malcolm Barker lake (away)

Fishing came home today, let’s hope football comes home tonight!Malcolm Barker lake fished well today, with all catching a few pounds of silvers.
Today’s winner was our own James Gillard, making a much anticipated return to SWAC matches. We were glad he decided to join us today! James fished the pole and waggler to put together a good net of small silvers, a 2/3lb bream and a 6lb carp! James weighed 11lbs 6oz overall.
Second place today went to another SWAC angler, Sam Robinson. He wasn’t happy with his draw at the start, but after persevering and trying different things on the pole and on the waggler, he managed 8lbs 15oz. This included two nice tench, pictured in the weigh sling below.
Third place went to another SWAC angler, Dennis Gowlett! Dennis put together 8lbs 10oz, partially consisting of a very nice 4/5lb bream! Dennis fished the pole to put together his weight.Overall, SWAC won by roughly 10 points.
Thank you to all who fished, it was a solid team effort and well deserved at that!
Thanks as always to Bishop’s Stortford AC for having us at their beautiful venue and thank you to the match organiser, Tony Cruci.
The next Interclub match will be at our home venue, Bordeaux Pit! Well done all!
