The Saffron Walden Angling Club is hosting a free open day at one of its lakes to offer local children between the ages of 10 and 16 the chance to enjoy a morning of fishing and competition on the 31st of July.
The aim of the day is to give the chance to all that are interested to catch fish big and small (Some up to 20lbs!) and compete in a competition against other participants for bragging rights and prizes.
The event will be held at Bordeaux Pit, which is between Littlebury and Little Chesterford. Feel free to find us on Facebook and have a look at what we do!
The day will involve a short tutorial from a skilled, local angler per child, a short match and a prize giving. There will be refreshments and biscuits available on the day. We ask that each child is accompanied by an adult.It promises to be a fun morning outside engaging with nature for local children and teenagers.
Tackle, bait, parking and fishing provided free of charge.
