SWAC travelled to Rookery Waters today for round two of the winter league. After yesterday’s result on the lake where some anglers didn’t catch a Carp we knew it was going to be tough! The weather did its best to mess the fishing up by blowing a gale and adding some rain for good measure. Roger Phillips drew peg 13 and took a while to get off the mark, eventually catching a Carp short on the pole then the rest of his fish came from fishing long on the feeder. Roger weighed in 55lb 5oz for the win. Adam Salter drew peg 10 and fished a tidy match mainly on the feeder to the island. Adam lost a few fish early on then managed to get steady bites towards the end to weigh in 41lb 4oz for a second. Graham Carter drew peg 7 and started like a steam train landing 3/4 fish before anyone else had a bite! Once the wind dropped his bites stopped leaving Graham taking third place with 37lb 5oz.
