Match Result Sunday 19th December Winter League Round 3 – Lawn Farm/Willow Lake (Silvers Only)

First Place – Roger Phillips – 20lb 13oz
Second Place – Stuart Bradford – 20lb 11oz
Third Place – Adam Salter – 18lb 2oz

Round three of SWAC’s winter league was held at Lawn farm on Willow lake. Roger was handed peg 27 and struggled for an hour only able to catch tiny Perch on all lines. Eventually he started to catch Skimmers,Bream, Roach and Tench through the middle section of the match and only odd fish again towards the end. Roger weighed in 20lb 13oz for a narrow win. Stuart Bradford drew peg 33 and had a very similar day rotating and feeding lines to keep bites coming. Stuart also caught Bream, Skimmers and Roach to weigh in 20lb 11oz for second.Adam Salter had a very enjoyable day on peg 15 with a mixture of Waggler and maggots and pole long shallow. Adam caught two of the lakes Chub along with Roach and Skimmers to take third with 18lb 2oz. Special mention to our specimen angler Fred Hunt who had a lovely day with the Carp in our “Silvers Only” Match! Fred hooked eight and landed four! Well done!
