We were delighted to welcome our friends from the Saffron Walden Mencap Society to Bordeaux Pit on Friday. The event was organised by Jack Culpin – our local AT Regional Development Officer – and Club Member!
And what a great little event it was…..The guys split into two groups and each had a short one – on – one session of fishing, whilst the rest of the group had a mini nature walk around the lake.
Everyone caught – the fish were unusually cooperative! Highlight of the evening was the capture of a 15lb Carp – on a 4 metre whip! 
Totally unexpectedly, we also received a generous donation from the Group – for providing part of their ‘learning process’.

We have invited them back next year and hopefully we will do it in the summer when the evenings last a little longer,
Pip Kerry, Stewart Goddard and Trevor Kappes were the ‘club reps’ on the night – we enjoyed it as much as the youngsters!
